LG's LED HDTVs
LG's LED HDTVs feature "smart energy-saving" settings, which consist of two main options. The first is the Intelligent Sensor feature – when active, the TV responds to the ambient light in the room and automatically reduces brightness and energy output under most circumstances. And second, the Power Saving Modes – offering consumers five different power-saving modes with backlight dimming; High, Medium, Low, Off, and Auto, as well as a mechanical power-off switch, so that the product uses no standby power while not in use. With these features, LG's LED HDTVs have achieved Energy Star qualifications, using roughly 30 percent less energy than standard CCFL LCD units.
